Business Operations Analyst (Reference Code BOA)
Overview
Through a broad product line ranging from open-end and closed-end mutual funds to separately managed accounts, Allianz Global Investors Distributors (AGID) provides access to the specialized equity and fixed-income expertise of its affiliated institutional investment firms. Together, these firms manage more than $1 trillion (as of 06/30/08).
The Business Operations Analyst will join the AGID strategic initiatives team. This position will provide exposure to a wide range of departments throughout the organization and involve a combination of presentation development, project management, and analysis. There will also be numerous opportunities for interaction with senior managers and participation in business critical projects.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing strategy presentations and reports for senior management
Participate in researching, recommending, and implementing cost-reduction and efficiency improvements for systems and processes utilized throughout the retail group (including both internal and third-party resources)
Provide support for sales and assets reporting and analysis for senior management
Produce quarterly and annual reports for AGID’s affiliated sub-advisors as well as trustee materials
Conduct general vendor reviews and provide ongoing assessments of third-party performance and invoicing
Develop reports on cash flows, assets, and larger industry trends across product lines and distribution channels
Provide limited administrative support for meeting preparation and materials development
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred 1-2 years of experience in financial services/consulting or demonstrated strong desire to work in financial services industry
Superior organizational, speaking, and writing skills
Extensive experience and facility with PowerPoint and other presentation/design applications
PIMCO Funds and Allianz Funds are sold primarily to a network of brokers and financial planners. Our sales force consists of in-house representatives working via the telephone from our New York-based location, as well as field representatives throughout the country.

Responsibilities:
Serve financial advisors and wholesalers (via incoming calls)
Promote PIMCO Funds and Allianz Funds products to brokerage community (via outbound calls)
Assist financial support for financial advisors for their continued marketing efforts
Maintain and update sales database for their territory
